* Scoring explanation:

Avg Score: Team's average score through all matches
Avg Score Diff: Team's average margin of victory through all matches
Avg Score - Partner Avg Score: Team's average score minus partner's average score for all matches
OPR Score: Apparently a fairly common way to compute team offense in FRC. I got the formula from here.
CCWM Score: Another metric from FRC which is like OPR but uses score differential instead of score, and in theory factors in defense as well. I got the formula from here.

Why did I make this site?

During the FTC East Regionals, our kids (Team 8644) and many others were grappling with alliance partner selection. Since the FTC QP+RP system doesn't seem to be a reliable indicator of team quality, I played with some stats and decided that there are a few more accurate indicators. The OPR score is apparently well known in FRC, but a simpler measure also works reasonably well: the difference between a team's average score and its partners' average scores. These numbers might penalize teams that focus on defense, but we saw very few of those at the East Regionals. I think these stats will be useful in future years for alliance selection, but it may be useful to those of you who are advancing to World's as well.
